LONG COUNTY, GA - On November 19, deputies responded to a reported assault at a residence on Meadow road, to discover a woman lying in a pool of blood after a severe slashing attack. The woman had been attacked with a sword. The victim suffered multiple injuries including deep slash wounds to her upper arm and the back of her head, and one of her hands was severed from her arm .  EMS personnel stabilized the woman and she was transported to Memorial University Medical Center
