Woman's Hand Severed In Sword Attack By Illegal Aliens In Georgia

LONG COUNTY, GA - On November 19, deputies responded to a reported assault at a residence on Meadow road, to discover a woman lying in a pool of blood after a severe slashing attack.


The woman had been attacked with a sword.


The victim suffered multiple injuries including deep slash wounds to her upper arm and the back of her head, and one of her hands was severed from her arm. 


EMS personnel stabilized the woman and she was transported to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah by helicopter. 


At last report, the woman remained in critical condition.


The bloody attack was determined to be the result of an argument.


Deputies arrested Hector Manuel Esparza-Reyes and Jorge Abdiel Esparza-Gress, and both have been charged with one count each of aggravated assault and aggravated battery.


Both Esparza-Reyes and Esparza-Gress are in the country illegally and both are being held in the Long County Jail on ICE detainers.
