On Monday, Iredell County sheriff’s deputies stopped Christian Jovani Osorio-Cruz, following a high-speed chase on I-40. He was wanted in Carteret County after he reportedly stabbed another man multiple times in Sea Scape Mobile Home Park on Saturday. according to a Carteret County Sheriff's Office news release.
Osorio-Cruz was charged with felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle, felony possession of a stolen vehicle, felony assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, misdemeanor fail to stop for siren, misdemeanor driving while license revoked, misdemeanor reckless driving to endanger, misdemeanor speeding, and multiple driving infractions. He was booked into the Iredell County Jail on $250K bond, while awaiting extradition to Carteret County.
On Wednesday, he was transferred to Carteret County Jail where he is currently being held on $65K bond and an ICE detainer.
The illegal alien has a history of arrests and convictions throughout the state of North Carolina, including misdemeanor assault on a female, driving while impaired, three counts of driving with license revoked, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
