GREELEY, CO - On June 8, police responded to a double-stabbing in Lincoln Park, at the intersection 9th Avenue and 10th Street.
The suspect, who has been identified as Luis Mendez-Mayorga, 27, fled the scene and the officers lost him during a chase.
In a news release, the Greeley Police Department stated:
The investigation revealed Mendez-Mayorga was “cat-calling” a 20-year-old female victim, when the 29-year-old male she was with attempted to intervene to stop the harassing behavior. Both victims were then assaulted with the knife by Mendez-Mayorga, receiving minor stab wounds. Both victims were treated on scene and released.
Mendez-Mayorga is currently wanted for two counts of second degree assault and two counts of felony menacing.
If anyone spots Mendez-Mayorga, they are asked to call 911 immediately. He was last seen in downtown Greeley.
The illegal alien has a long criminal history and is well known to police.
So, why was he here in the first place?
In 2019, Colorado officially became a ‘sanctuary state’ for criminal aliens.
