Illegal Alien Charged With Trapping Six People Inside A Home, Setting It On Fire

ROBERTSVILLE, AL - On January 2, police arrested Marlon Pineda-Enamorado, 38, after he confined six people inside a house and set fire to the structure a day earlier, according to police.

Robertsdale Police Lt. Paul Overstreet told WKRG:

The suspect had used an accelerant, gasoline, to light several mattresses on fire inside his room and causing the entire home to be filled with smoke.

Pineda-Enamorado used a bungee cord to secure the front door from the outside of the house, in order to keep the victims from escaping the fire, according to court documents.

All of the victims were Pineda-Enamorado’s roommates and he became angry when they told him he had to move out.

When police arrived, the illegal alien was standing in front of the home with a gas can in his hand.

Officers helped the people escape through a window and kicked down a door and managed to get everyone out of the house safely. A 73-year-old man was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

Pineda-Enamorado was charged with first-degree arson and is currently being held at the Baldwin County Jail on an ICE hold.

More charges, such as several counts of attempted murder are likely to follow.
