Why Is Trump Ignoring Family Of Slain Border Patrol Agent?

Sunday marked the 15th anniversary of the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. He was killed in the night while patrolling the very dangerous Arizona-Mexico border. It was determined that he was killed with at least one of Obama's so-called 'Fast and Furious' weapons.
In President Trump's 2016 campaign, he often surrounded himself with 'Angel Families,' whose children, brothers, sisters, parents, etc. has been killed by illegal aliens. However, in 2024, those folks were noticeably absent from his campaign...they were not invited this time around.
I recently sat down with an interview with Kelly Terry-Willis, the sister of Agent Brian Terry, and she had some rather troubling things to say about the current Trump administration, and promises not kept.
That interview follows:
Q: How has your life changed since your brother was killed?
A: When you lose someone, everyone tells the survivors to give it time and life will get
better. In a way that has happened because we have all watched our children grow up
and do wonderful things, but the part that hasn’t changed is our love for Brian and how
much he is missed every single day, but I have to say its almost as if time stood still and
we are still reliving the day he was killed because we still do not have full justice for
Brian...we have another murder trial to attend in February and we are still fighting to
have the Fast and Furious documents unsealed that President Obama put on Brian’s
case.
We don’t have answers, and we want full transparency of how this horrific tragedy
was started and what is being covered up. What dirty secret hides in the Fast and
Furious documents? Sadly, we know that there is evil that lurks in the political world and
Obama may have wanted those documents gone forever.
Q: Your family met with President Trump. What, if any promises did he make to you and your family?
A: Though I have spoken, with my brother Kent, at the RNC convention in 2016 live on
the Arizona-Mexico border in support of Trump, I am the only family member who has
not met with him. I would like that to change because I feel if my family can sit with him one
more time we may help convince him to open the documents. When Trump met my family,
he told them that he was looking to unseal those documents, we have not forgotten his
words.
How long do we and the American people have to wait for 100 percent
transparency? Brian is not the only person to have been killed with these weapons. A
little known fact is that when Brian was killed, the cover-up began immediately. From
emails passed between those under the Obama administration asking if my family was
aware of the walked guns and how they could hide this horrific scandal, to visits to our
family home to tell us it's all just rumors and misunderstandings. If it were not for
courageous whistle blowers, like John Dodson, we would still be in the dark. We do not
trust many politicians and those who try to pacify us with lie after lie. We are smarter
than they think, but we are also done with all the fake promises and requests to have
patience.
Q: Trump has not spoken to most of the 'Angel Families' in years, when was the last time your family heard from him?
A: A: We have not heard from Trump. We have sent so many letters to senators,
congressman and even his immediate staff and family members with hopes our letters
make it to Trump’s desk. I even just sent one on behalf of myself and my siblings to
Susie Wiles, with no response. Every single time someone says they will hand the letter
to Trump themselves…crickets.
One thing I will say is, along this 15-year journey we have sat through so many broken promises that we don’t even get our hopes up anymore, but we will always keep trying. Brian lived his entire adult life protecting and serving this country, he deserves the respect of full justice even if that means some people under the Obama administration will go down for their role in Fast and Furious because his blood is on their hands.
Q: If you could speak to Trump today, what would you say?
A: If I was sitting across from President Trump today, I would tell him that at the age of 40, Brian still had a lot of patriotism and service left in him and he made the ultimate
sacrifice for our country. He wore many hats, Marine, police officer, Border Patrol agent and
even served on the elite BORTAC team. Brian’s last hours on this earth was sitting in a dark
dessert to protect the border, all while those in the ATF and those in the Obama
administration knew during those hours that an agent could or would be killed because the Mexican Drug Cartels were lurking on American soil to grab guns, they were giving away to walk back over to Mexico.
In my brother's last seconds, he was looking up at a fellow agent and his last words were, “I can’t feel my legs.” That bullet never left Brian’s body after it ripped through every organ. So, I would ask President Trump, if that was your son, wouldn’t you want answers?
*Editor's note: To President Trump please DO NOT FORGET THE TERRY FAMILY, AND THE PROMISES YOU MADE TO THEM
