Megan Degenfelder, who is currently the Superintendent of Wyoming Public Schools is running for governor of Wyoming. The 36-year-old comes from a wealthy ranching family, enjoys hunting and has worked as a lobbyist for a few energy companies.
At first glance, Degenfelder, who claims to be a “conservative powerhouse,” appears to be your typical politician from Big Sky Country. However, there is something very unusual in this young woman’s background, and she refuses to address it…
It is the time that this very young education superintendent spent being ‘educated’ in China.
After attending the University of Wyoming for her bachelors degree, she enrolled in the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) where she received a Master of Arts in economics.
UIBE is located in the Chaoyang District of Beijing, China.
So, how does someone with “Wyoming values (according to her website)” come to the decision to seek out a masters degree in economics from Communist China?
Other notable alumni from the UIBE include:
-Liu He Vice Premier of China (MBA 1995) -Lou Jiwei Former Chinese Finance Minister (1968) -Chen Yuan Former Chairman, China Development Bank -Yi Gang Former Governor, People's Bank of China (1983)
Not surprisingly, UIBE has educated a very long list of top Chinese Communist Party officials.
While attendance at this university is certainly not strange for a young, ambitious communist, it is for a so-called “MAGA” Wyoming girl.
Despite numerous attempts to discuss Degenfelder’s attendance at a Chinese Communist university, this reporter could not get one returned email.

At a time when China is buying an enormous amount of farmland in this country, and dominating us economically, it is very troubling that someone with such a strong background in the Communist nation has become the front-runner to lead Wyoming.
