Police: Illegal Alien Posing As Uber/Lyft Driver Raped String Of Unconscious Women

BAY SHORE, NY - On November 18, Suffolk County Police arrested Raul Guaman, 43, following a break-in four days earlier, in which he is accused of entering a woman’s apartment through a window, and sexually assaulting her.

Once in custody, he consented to a search of his cell phone and his apartment.

The search turned up 32 cell phones and 16 driver’s licenses, apparently taken from his victims and kept as “trophies,” according to police.

Guaman, who is in the country illegally from Ecuador, has been posing as a ride-share driver, in order to victimize vulnerable women. He has been recording himself sexually assaulting inebriated and unconscious women, according to court documents.

Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini told the press:

Police have recovered videos from the defendant's cell phone appearing him to be sexually abusing a number of women who are unconscious.
Guaman has engaged in a pattern of predatory behavior since at least January of 2019.

Guaman has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual act, second-degree burglary as a sexually motivated felony, second-degree burglary, first-degree sexual abuse, four counts of second-degree unlawful surveillance and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse. He is currently being held at the Suffolk County Riverhead Correctional Facility without bond.

The illegal alien is due back in court on January 6. If convicted of the most serious count (first-degree criminal sexual act), he could face up to 25 years in prison.
