NC 'Sanctuary Sheriff' Releases Illegal Alien Charged With Child Sex Assault
Name: Jose Isabel Hernandez-Vasquez
Age: 30 Date of Arrest: 11/14/2021
Location: Wake County
Charge(s): First-Degree Statutory Sex Offense
*Though the Wake County Sheriff's Office refused to disclose exactly when this suspect was released, he was no longer in custody on the 17th...only three days after his arrest.
The illegal alien also has a prior arrest in Wake County.
On November 15, 2020, Hernandez-Vasquez was charged with Assault on a Female. He was booked into the Wake County Jail, and released when he made bond.
So, despite the suspect's immigration status, the serious nature of his charge and his prior, violent criminal history, Wake County Sheriff Gerald M. Baker simply allowed Hernandez-Vasquez to bond-out and and exited back onto the streets of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Since taking office on December 3, 2018, Sheriff Baker has refused to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and has released many dangerous criminals back into his county, despite ICE detainers being issued against them.
