Illegal Alien Confesses To Violent Carjacking, Robbery Spree In Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, KY - On Tuesday, an off-duty police officer spotted Eder Rivaldo Mayorga-Sanchez, 19, and gave chase when the wanted man fled. He was soon taken into custody behind a nearby carwash.

When arrested, detectives discovered two handguns on the illegal alien. One of those guns was stolen, according to a police report.

On October 26, Mayorga-Sanchez began a crime spree when he reportedly stole a car outside a Circle K at National Turnpike near Glengarry Drive. A 16-year-old boy was shot during the carjacking.

He then is alleged to have committed the following crimes:

  • Oct. 28 — Carjacking at Zappos, 9100 block of Minors Lane

  • Nov. 4 — Carjacking at Burger King, 5600 block of New Cut Road

  • Nov. 4 — Carjacking at Park Place Apartments, 7300 block of Cogan Boulevard

  • Nov. 8 — Business robbery at Valero's, 4900 block Terry Boulevard and stolen vehicle at Dominos, 8400 block Preston Highway

Mayorga-Sanchez has been charged with five counts of robbery, assault, theft of a vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm, and two counts of fleeing and evading police. He is currently being held at the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections on an ICE detainer.

The illegal alien does have a lengthy, prior arrest record, according to police.

It was revealed during a LMPD press conference that Mayorga-Sanchez has “provided a full confession” to all of the crimes.
