Illegal Alien Charged With Shooting 12-Year-Old Girl In NC 'Sanctuary' County

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – On August 7, police arrested Paulo Roque-Salinas, 19, during a traffic stop, for a shooting incident that took place last month, in which a 12-year-old girl was wounded.

On July 11, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg after Roque-Salinas reportedly fired several shots into a home with a high-powered rifle on Pleasant Street.

It is still unclear at this time as to who was the intended target.

The girl was transported to Brenner Children’s Hospital at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she received treatment for the gunshot wound.

Roque-Salinas has been charged charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling-causing serious injury, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possession of a controlled substance. He is currently being held at the Forsyth County Jail on $101,000 bond.

*Of course, upon taking office in 2019, Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough stopped honoring ICE detainers, and ended his department's contract with ICE to house illegal aliens in the county jail.

So, despite the serious nature of the charges against him and his illegal status in this country, if Roque-Salinas is able to come up with the $10,100 to pay a bail-bonding service, the illegal alien will simply be released back onto the streets, in hopes that he might return one day for his trial.
