LAREDO, TX - On August 16, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, along with Webb County sheriff’s deputies apprehended Miguel Angel Ponce-Mejia, 43, after he crossed into this country illegally.
Upon processing, it was discovered that Ponce-Mejia is a convicted felon who has been deported back to Mexico five times.
In a press release, ICE stated:
In December 2007, Ponce-Mejia was convicted of indecency with a child; he came to ERO’s attention via local law enforcement agencies after a local encounter.
Ponce-Mejia is currently in ICE custody, awaiting removal, yet again.
