Chinese 'Immigrants' Charged With Running Sex Trafficking Ring In Va.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - On May 19, Yang Gao, 33, Ye Wang, 32, and Si Liu, 35, were formally arraigned following an investigation into prostitution and human trafficking that began in January.


U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents along with local police executed search warrants on four massage parlors and three homes in Norfolk, Williamsburg and Virginia Beach, stated a Virginia Beach Police Department press release.


A search of one residence yielded $112,000 in cash and more than 200 condoms.


A website registered to Liu was running ads for prostitution, and she was also caught on surveillance video picking up young girls from bus stations and taking them to several banks, according to court documents.


Gao was charged with four counts of prostitution aiding/assisting in procurement, three counts of maintain or frequent bawdy place, using vehicle to promote prostitution, pander/pimp or receive money from prostitute, prostitution-enticement procurement, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, robbery causing serious bodily injury, rape of a mentally incapacitated/helpless victim and sex trafficking.

Wang was charged with three counts of prostitution aiding/assisting in procurement, three counts of maintain or frequent bawdy place, using vehicle to promote prostitution, pander/pimp or receive money from prostitute, prostitution-enticement procurement, malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, robbery causing serious bodily injury and sex trafficking.
