TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA – On Thursday, San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies arrested Manuel Tarango, 34, after he reportedly sexually assaulted a woman.
The victim called 911 in the early morning hours of January 26, but when deputies arrived, Tarango had already fled the scene.
He was located a few days later in Yucca Valley, according to court documents.
Tarango has been charged with attempted rape, and is currently being held at the West Valley Detention Center without bail, due to a parole violation.
Despite being in the country illegally, he was free on parole, at the time of the alleged sexual assault.
