NASHVILLE, TN - On November 4, a Davidson County jury found Dantis Lakka-Lako, 19, guilty of rape and several other charges following a 2018 home invasion robbery.
In September 2018, the 30-year-old pregnant victim entered her home at the Overlook Apartments in Antioch, while Lakka-Lako was hiding, after breaking into the apartment
After she went into her bedroom, Lakka-Lako put a knife to her throat, demanded money and raped her, according to court documents.

He allegedly demanded money and told her not to run, and then took the belongings in her purse and raped her. The woman managed to hit him in the head with a bottle, causing Lakka-Lako to leave the room. Then, she jumped from her third-floor apartment to escape. She was seriously injured from the fall, however, both she and her unborn baby survived.
Police obtained DNA evidence linking Lakka-Lako to the sickening crime.
Lakka-Lako was convicted of two counts of aggravated rape, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and two counts of felony theft.
He is scheduled for sentencing on January 14, 2022 by Judge Jennifer Smith.
