Twice-Deported Illegal Alien Charged With Raping Incapacitated Woman In Maryland
WHEATON, MD - Last month, Montgomery County police officers arrested Jose Lopez-Gonzalez, 35, after he was reportedly caught raping a woman under a stairwell, in plain view of passersby.
Witnesses told 911 dispatchers that they heard the woman pleading with him to stop, shouting "No!"
When police arrived, Lopez was still raping the woman.
"Lopez-Gonzalez was on the top of [the victim] who was naked from the waist down. [The officer] advised that he initially yelled at Lopez-Gonzalez to get off [the victim] but that he had to physically pull him off her because he was still engaging in sexual intercourse," stated the police report.
The unresponsive victim was taken to Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, where she was examined and DNA evidence was collected. A blood test revealed that the woman was severely inebriated, with a BAC of .352, thus explaining her helpless condition.
Under questioning, the illegal alien admitted that he knew the victim was so drunk that he could take advantage of her, and she would likely not remember being raped.
"Lopez-Gonzalez advised that [the victim] trusted him to take care of her because she had a lot to drink at the bar. Lopez-Gonzalez advised that [the victim] was so intoxicated after leaving the bar that she fell down three times and he had to help her up," read charging documents.
Lopez-Gonzalez is member of MS-13, and was deported once in 2007 and again in 2010.
He has been charged with second-degree rape and second-degree assault, and is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on an ICE detainer.
If convicted, Lopez-Gonzalez could face up to 30 years behind bars.
