No ICE Hold For Illegal Alien Charged With Killing Two People In NC 'Sanctuary County'

RALEIGH, NC - On Thursday, police arrested Jeylin Molina-Duran, 21, after he reportedly crashed his car into another vehicle on Louisburg Road.

The crash impacted multiple vehicles, which resulted in two people being pronounced dead at the scene. Three others were taken to WakeMed, and two of them remain in serious condition at this time.

Police say Jeylin Molina-Duran was traveling north in a BMW 328i around 11:30 p.m. in the left lane when it struck a Hyundai Elantra that was also traveling north. The Elantra spun in the collision and was hit by a Honda Civic, which forced it into the right lane where it was struck a third time by a Toyota Camry.

The two deceased victims have only been identified as a 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man.

Molina-Duran was charged with two counts of felony death by vehicle and is currently being held at the Wake County Jail on $200,000 bond.

Despite the serious nature of his charges and the obvious flight risk he poses, due to his illegal status, a requested ICE hold will not be honored against Molina-Duran, and he can simply walk out of jail if he comes up with 10 percent of his bond.

Since taking office on December 3, 2018, Wake County Sheriff Gerald M. Baker has refused to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and has released many dangerous criminals back into his county, despite ICE detainers being issued against them.
