On December 12, 2022, deputies arrested Jose Ramon Urrutia, 23, following an investigation into the abduction and rape of a young girl.
While we are certainly used to the mainstream news media using language to protect criminal aliens, even when they have committed a crime as obscene as the sexual abuse of a child.
We often see the foreign national referred to as, say “a Raleigh man,” “a Denver man,” or even just “a man.”
However, it is highly unusual for the arresting agency to refer to the suspect as such, particularly when they have information to the contrary.
In a news release issued the same day as the arrest, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office stated:
A sexual assault investigation has led to the arrest of a Fairmont man. On Monday, December 12, 2022, Jose Ramon Urrutia Jr., 23,was charged and arrested by Robeson County Sheriff’s Office investigators.
“A Fairmont man?” Really?
After speaking with a deputy, this reporter was informed that Urrutia is in fact, a foreign national.
Urrutia was charged with two counts of first-degree statutory rape, first-degree statutory sex offense, crimes against nature, first-degree kidnapping and indecent liberties with a child. He is currently being held on $1 million bail.
So, why is the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office now adopting the same tactics used by the MSM to direct our attention away from the fact that the offender is in the country illegally?
