MS-13 Pleads Guilty To Hacking Man To Death With Machete In Texas

HARRIS COUNTY, TX - On Monday, Francisco Amadeo Flores-Salazar (a.k.a. “Psycho”), 21, was sentenced to 45 years in prison, after he pleaded guilty to murder in the grisly death of 24-year-old Jose Alfonso Villanueva.

In July 2018, Villanueva was convinced to get into a vehicle with a young woman who promised him marijuana for his birthday.

She was actually taking him to a field next to Lewis Elementary School in Spring, Texas, that would soon become a homicide scene.

Once there, Flores-Salazar began hacking Villenueva with a machete.

The bloodied victim tried to escape, but was soon shot by other MS-13 gang members.

There is a culture of violence within these gangs that leads to indiscriminate killing and puts all of us in danger. This was a premeditated and cold-blooded murder, not some crime of passion, and the killers deserve to spend decades in prison.

*MS-13 is a hyper violent gang that actually began in Los Angeles in the 1980s, as the large illegal Salvadoran population banded together to fight other gangs and take over valuable territory in which to sell drugs.

Over the last few decades, the gang has spread out, all over the country. They are known for hacking their victims to death with machetes, gang rapes and distributing drugs for the Mexican drug cartels.

MS-13 now has a very strong presence in New York, Maryland and Virginia.
