TELFOLD, TN - On November 21, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), along with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Crime Unit arrived at a property in the Conklin neighborhood after receiving reports of severe animal abuse.Â
A press release from the WCSO described the scene:Â
This involved withholding food and water from animals, dead animal carcasses lying about the property and using a pipe and large wooden stick as an apparatus to keep a dog from lying down. The dog had no access to water or food and was on a short chain attached to a dilapidated structure.Â
A horse was tied to a tree with no ability to get to water or food. A goat and its two kids were also confined and tethered to a fence in a small area with no water or food and a bucket of oil was found in the area accessible to the goats.Â
Deputies arrested the occupant of the property, Rudy Ariel Dubon, 38, and charged the illegal alien with two counts of cruelty to animals. He was booked into the Washington County Detention Center where he is currently being held on an ICE detainer.
