The above charges were lodged against Diaz as the investigation into his crimes against a young girl has continued. On June 20, Diaz was arrested and charged with statutory rape of a child (Victim Under 15) and indecent liberties with a child.
In a news release, the Onslow County Sheriff's Office stated:
After further forensic review of the victim’s phone, several images and videos were recovered which depicted sexual acts. It was discovered that Kevin was responsible for sending these images and videos to the victim. Based on this new evidence, ADA Wahoff approved additional criminal charges for Diaz.
He is currently being held at the Onslow County Sheriff’s Detention Center on $325,000 secured bond.
