Last week (March 6), 12-year-old Travis Wolfe died at Children's Hospital in Flourisant, Missouri. The young boy spent months in a coma, following a head-on collision on December 20, a day before his birthday.
Travis and his parents were traveling in their Jeep when they were hit by a vehicle driven by Endrina Bracho, 32, as she was driving in the wrong lane at a high rate of speed.
Hazelwood Police Sgt. Scott Schnurbusch stated:
“1,700 feet is quite a big distance to travel at over 70 miles an hour on a 40-mile posted road. That’s a long way to travel in the wrong direction and not realize.”
Travis’ parents were taken to Mercy Hospital with broken bones and lacerations, and were released a few days later.
Bracho’s two children were also in the car at the time of the crash and suffered injuries as well. They have been turned over to Bracho’s ex-husband.
Bracho who is in the country illegally from Venezuela has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the first degree, two counts of assault in the second degree, two counts
of endangering a child in the first degree, and one count of operating a vehicle without a valid license. She is currently being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on an ICE detainer.
Travis’ funeral service will be held on March 16 in St. Charles, according to his obituary.

This tragedy occurred nearly three months ago, and until Travis was removed from life support last week, every media outlet (local and national) buried this story, and for that matter, so did local officials.
