Illegal Alien/Serial Child Molester Is Sentenced To Prison In Oregon

HILLSBORO, OR - On November 9, 2021, Arturo Diaz-Guzman, age 41, pleaded guilty in Washington County Circuit Court to rape and several other child sexual assault charges.

On October 10, 2019, Diaz-Guzman approached a 12-year-old girl in a common area of an apartment complex, and asked her for a hug, according to police.

When the girl refused his advances and attempted to leave, the assailant grabbed her and dragged her into a more isolated area, attempting to sexually assault her.

The victim fought-off her attacker, broke free and ran home to her family’s apartment.

Hillsboro police officers responded to the scene and quickly took Diaz-Guzman into custody.

In a news release, the Washington County District Attorney’s Office stated:

During the investigation of this case, additional victims came forward and reported historical sexual abuse by the defendant. The new information allowed this office to bring additional charges against Mr. Diaz-Guzman related to four additional victims.
The Washington County District Attorney’s Office wishes to commend the victim in this case for her quick thinking and bravery in escaping this situation and the additional victims for having the courage to come forward.

Diaz-Guzman pleaded guilty to first-degree rape, first-degree attempted sexual abuse and three counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He was immediately sentenced by Judge Erik Bucher to 15 years in prison.

*Given his immigration status, Diaz-Guzman should be deported upon completion of his sentence. However, due to the state of Oregon’s statewide ‘sanctuary’ policy protecting criminal aliens from federal deportations, it is unlikely that will happen.
