*Martinez was arrested two years ago and booked into the Forsyth County Jail, and, despite his immigration status was simply released back onto the streets of Winston-Salem, and is now charged with sexually assaulting a child in another county.
Upon taking office in 2019, Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr. stopped honoring ICE detainers, and ended his department's contract with ICE to house illegal aliens in the county jail.
