HENRICO COUNTY, VA - On April 17, Julio Cesar-Campos Vasquez was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals near Richmond, Virginia.
Vasquez reportedly kidnapped a 14-year-old girl in North Carolina, before fleeing with her to Virginia.
On April 22, the U.S. Marshals Service sent out the following Tweet:
The U.S. Marshals assisted in the recovery of a 14-year-old girl and the arrest of her kidnapper in Virginia. Julio Cesar-Campos Vasquez was charged with child abduction and second-degree kidnapping and is being held in Henrico County Jail pending extradition to North Carolina.
As stated above, Vasquez has been charged with child abduction and second-degree kidnapping. He is currently being held at the Henrico Jail West without bond.
His extradition hearing is scheduled for May 26.
No information on the condition of his victim is available at this time.
