MADERA, CA – On June 24, Carlos Alfonso Bolanos, 22, was given the maximum sentence under the law, after being convicted of kidnapping and multiple sex offenses.
On April 2, 2019, Bolanos contacted the 14-year-old victim through Facebook, while using a false identity, with the promise of employment.
He was taken into custody two months after later. At the time of his arrest, he presented the police officers with a false identification.

During an interview with detectives, Bolanos confessed to the rape reported in April, the Sheriff’s Office said. He admitted to using a fake Facebook profile with the name “Maritza Martinez” along with a female profile photo, to contact and maintain communication with the victim.
The illegal alien then met the girl, and told her that he had been sent to bring her to work. Once she was in his van, he told the victim that he had a gun and threatened to kill her and her family, unless she complied with his demands.
He then drove to different locations around the county, where he repeatedly raped her, according to court documents.
A jury convicted Bolanos on two counts of rape, rape by force, kidnapping, kidnapping to commit robbery, false imprisonment, lewd or lascivious acts with a child and grand theft auto. He was sentenced to two life terms without the possibility of parole, plus 54 years in prison.
