Illegal Alien Charged With Exposing Himself And Sexual Assault On A Child
RED SPRINGS, NC – On Monday, police arrested Victor Luis Gonzalez, 64, at his residence in the 2500 block of Snipes Road. The arrest followed an investigation that began when the victim's parents reported that their child had been taken from their home and sexually assaulted by the defendant.
Red Springs Police Lt. Chris McManus issued the following statement on the incident:
Investigators contacted the juvenile victim and parents were told that Victor L. Gonzalez had picked up the juvenile at their residence and went to an undisclosed location on North Main Street to work. The juvenile told investigators that while they were at the location to work that Gonzalez had offered them marijuana and wanted them to watch pornography with him.
Gonzalez was charged with indecent liberties with a child, indecent exposure and two misdemeanor counts of contributing to delinquency of a minor. He is currently being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on $125,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives have reason to believe there are several more victims.
