Illegal Alien Arrested On Child Pornography Charges In North Dakota
BISMARK, ND - Burleigh County sheriff's deputies pulled over Benito Gomez-Lopez, 32, for speeding. During the routine traffic stop, it was discovered that he did not have a license.
After taking Gomez-Lopez to the Bottineau Border Patrol Station, near the Canadian border, it was discovered that he was in the country illegally.
It was also discovered that the illegal alien was in possession of a video depicting child pornography on his cell phone.
The video had been distributed through a popular social media app, according to the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
Gomez-Lopez has been charged with possession of certain material prohibited and promoting an obscene sexual performance by a minor.
