ELSA, TX – On Friday, police arrested Omar Garza, 46, following an investigation into the brutal sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.
On November 30, the Elsa Police Department received a call that the teenage victim had been raped.
On December 4, an arrest warrant was issued for Omar Garza (aka Omar Rodriguez Garza).
Later that day, the suspect was taken into custody.
Garza has been charged with felony aggravated sexual assault of a child. He is currently being held at the Hidalgo County Jail.
