KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC - On June 9, deputies arrested David Flores, 25, after he reportedly failed to pull over and led a deputy on a chase, eventually crashing his motorcycle.
A news release from the Dare County Sheriff’s Office stated:
The motorcycle failed to yield to the Deputies lights and siren and made a U-Turn near Kitty Hawk Rd and proceeded to travel south on Hwy 158. The driver of the motorcycle then wrecked in the area of Henry's Restaurant and fled on foot. The driver was apprehended a short time later on the beach near Tateway.
During processing, it was discovered that Flores is wanted by Gwinnett County, Georgia for aggravated assault and several other charges. The warrant was issued for his arrest in 2019.
Flores was charged with fleeing to elude and defaced VIN, both felonies, and on an extradition warrant from Georgia. He is currently being held at the Dare County Detention Center on $320,000 secured bond while awaiting extradition to Georgia.
