FLAT ROCK, NC - On August 21, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Aaron Santiso, 30, near the South Carolina border, as he reportedly fled the scene after hitting a 3-year-old girl with his vehicle.
The girl was riding her tricycle around the cul-de-sac when Santiso hit her, according to a Henderson County Sheriff's Office news release.
Around 6 p,m., Henderson County sheriff’s deputies and paramedics were called to Pleasant Court, only to find the little girl lying lifeless on the pavement.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Andi Lynn Blair.
Santiso has been charged with felony hit-and-run causing injury or death, felony death by vehicle and DUI. He is currently being held at the Henderson County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
