LAREDO, TX – On Monday, U.S. Border Patrol agents working out of the Laredo South Station apprehended a group who were observed crossing the border illegally. Among them, was multiple deportee, 55-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez-Jaramillo.
The Mexican National was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in 1998, and sentenced to 16 years in prison.
The crime was committed in Tyler, Texas.
Border Patrol officials did not specify how many times he had been deported, but only said that his record contained “multiple deportations.”
Rodriguez-Jaramillo has been charged with felony illegal re-entry, and remains in federal custody.
