HEREFORD, AZ - On June 24, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended Fernando Jimenez-Rodriguez, 41, after witnessing him cross into this country illegally.
In a news release, the U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector stated:
Records revealed the Mexican citizen is a registered sex offender, convicted of felony indecency with a child sexual contact in Dallas, TX.
Jimenez-Rodriguez was convicted in 2017 and deported in 2019.
His victim was a 7-year-old girl.
He is facing a charge of felony re-entry after deportation, and if convicted, could receive up to 20 years in federal prison.
