NORFOLK, VA – On July 16, police arrested Michael Nse Eyo Ebong, 43, who has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault. While investigating the death of a 30-year-old woman, who was found unresponsive a few days earlier, the trail led detectives to Ebong.
In addition to the current charges against him, detectives are now determining if there is a link between Ebong and a 36-year-old woman's death in the city, which took place last year. On November 15, 2020, police responded to a report of an unresponsive woman in the 1200 block of Hillside Avenue.
That woman was pronounced dead on scene.
WTKR reported:
Investigators believe that narcotics played a role in both incidents; however, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official manner and cause of death for both women.
Ebong frequents the Seaside Raw Bar on Atlantic Avenue and Central at Shore on Red Tide Road, both in Virginia Beach. Police believe he may have additional victims.

Ebong has been charged with two counts of rape of an incapacitated/helpless victim and kidnapping by force. He is currently being held at the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
