HOUSTON, TX - On September 21, police arrested Bolanle Fadairo, 38, after he reportedly shot a man to death in a parking lot, only hours earlier.
On September 20, police officers responded to a shooting at 5501 El Camino Del Rey Street, and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, 38-year-old Mike Essien died at the scene.
Surveillance video shows Fadairo shooting Essian, then taking off in the victim’s vehicle.
The victim’s 2-year-old son, Micah, was in the backseat of Essian’s Chevrolet Traverse.
Mabel Essien, the shooting victim’s wife, called police to report her husband and son missing. Officers located the vehicle less than an hour later and saw the toddler in the backseat.
They broke out a window and found the little boy unresponsive. Attempts were made by police and paramedics to revive Micah, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
At Fadairo’s arraignment, in the 482nd State District Court the prosecutor told the judge:
The windows were rolled up and the engine was turned off. The outdoor temps at the time were around 93 degrees. The vehicle was parked on a concrete city street with no shade.
The toddler apparently died from a heat stroke, as his tiny body shut down.
Bolanle Olayinka Fadairo was charged with two counts of murder and one count of tampering with evidence. He is currently being held at the Harris County Jail without bond.
Fadairo came to this country from Nigeria several years ago.
Though this double murder has received widespread local coverage, not one media outlet besides United States Illegal Alien Crime Report has reported on the suspect's immigration status.
