PORTLAND, OR – On January 5, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents handed over Abel Rojas-Hernandez, 57, to Mexican officials following his release from an Oregon state prison.

In a press release, ICE stated:

On Feb. 8, 2012, ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers encountered Rojas-Hernandez at the Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) and lodged an immigration detainer with the jail.
