Indian Pimp Charged With Human Sex-Trafficking In Va.

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -On February 27, 2026, the Virginia Beach Police Department Special Investigations Bureau (SIB) opened an investigation after receiving a tip through the Virginia State Police tip line about possible human trafficking victim in Virginia Beach.
During the investigation, SIB detectives located and questioned the suspect, Pankaj Joshi, 33, who was found to be trafficking the female victim. Joshi was arrested and charged with human trafficking, pandering, pimping, and aiding prostitution.
The victim is currently receiving therapy and assistance, according to police.
Joshi is currently being held without bond at the Virginia Beach Correctional Facility without bond.
