Among others, Inamagua has been arrested and convicted for the following charges in Buncombe County:
-On April 29, 2022, he was charged with Assault on a Female and Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. He was released on bail and allowed to plead-down the assault charge.
-On October 22, 2018, he was charged with Non-Payment of Child Support and released on $2,168 bail.
-On September 14, 2017, he was charged with and later convicted of Second-Degree Sex Offense, Sexual Battery and a DUI. He was released after less than a year behind bars.
Despite the serious nature of his charges and convictions and his illegal status in this country, Inamagua has never been held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for deportation proceedings.
*Upon taking office in 2019, Buncombe County Sheriff Quentin Miller announced that his office would no longer cooperate with ICE, and would stop honoring ICE detainers in his county's jail.
The policy immediately transformed Buncombe County into a 'sanctuary' for criminal aliens, and has been met with harsh criticism from federal authorities, as Sheriff Miller frequently allows illegal aliens charged with child sex crimes to go free on bail.
