ANAHEIM, CA - On Monday, police apprehended Raul Salgadocastro, 40, following a brief investigation into the rape of a 45-year-old woman in a nursing home, where he was working. The victim's sexual assault was recorded on the suspect's cellphone.
The Orange County Register reported:
Investigators believe Raul Salgadocastro, 40, of Anaheim raped a 45-year old woman who possesses the mental capacity of an infant and is unable to speak, Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said. Authorities discovered a video of the assault, which was recorded within the past two weeks, on a cell phone that once belonged to the suspect.
Salgadocastro has had access to the victim for several years, as her caretaker.
He has been charged with suspicion of rape, and booked into the Orange County Jail on $1 million bond.
The illegal alien works for a staffing agency that provides caretakers to several nursing homes throughout Orange County, and police have reason to believe that Salgadocastro may have many other victims.
