RALEIGH, NC – On Saturday, police arrested Maria Pena-Echeverria, 18, after a man was killed a day earlier.
On Friday, police were called to Mount Olivet Cemetery near the 2200 block of State Farm Rd., where they found a man suffering from what have been described as “serious injuries.”
The victim, 69-year-old James Lacy Taylor was transported to a local hospital, where he was soon pronounced dead.
Witnesses described seeing two men and a woman leaving the scene of the crime. There is no word yet on the whereabouts of the two men, and police have not yet disclosed any specifics on how the victim was killed.
The investigation appears to be ongoing at this time.
Pena-Echeverria has been charged with murder, and is currently being held at the Wake County Jail without bond.
