Illegal Alien Caught With Eight Pounds Of Meth In North Carolina

SANFORD, NC – On March 19, police arrested Javier Pelagio, 26, after a search of his vehicle, during a routine traffic stop.


The search yielded eight pounds of methamphetamine which had an estimated street value of as much as $104,000.


Pelagio was charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, one count of possession a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and one county of possession of drug paraphernalia, and he was booked into the Lee County Jail on a federal hold.


On March 22, the illegal alien was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshal's Service.
