ELIZABETHTOWN, NC – On May 14, deputies arrested Jose Manuel Tacaj-Chub, 39, following an investigation that he had repeatedly assaulted a young girl, now in her teens.

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office received a report on April 22 from a parent stating her 13-year-old daughter had been sexually assault over several years by a man.
A news release reports investigators with the sheriff’s office along with the Department of Social Services looked into the incident and found the information to be true.
Tacaj-Chub is the victim's mother's ex-boyfriend.
Tacaj-Chub has been charged with sex offense with a child by an adult, statutory rape, and indecent liberties with a child. He is currently being held at the Bladen County Detention Center on an ICE detainer.
