No ICE Hold For Illegal Alien Who Allowed Her Daughter To Be Molested

Name: Jesica Alejandra Rodriguez-Herrera

Age: 34

Date of Arrest: 02/12/2022

Location: Wake County

Charge(s): Felony Child Abuse-Allowing Sexual Act

On Friday, sheriff's deputies received a report that a young girl was being sexually abused by her mother's boyfriend. The next day, Jesica Alejandra Rodriguez-Herrera, along with her boyfriend, Lazaro Gonzalez-Olivier were taken into custody.

The two live together in Knightsdale.

Gonzalez-Olivier admitted to repeatedly molesting the child, and has been charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child.

Under questioning, Rodriguez-Herrera also "stated that she knew the assault," according to investigators.

Rodriguez-Herrera has been booked into the Wake County Jail on $50,000 bond. So, despite her immigration status and the serious nature of her crime, if she can come up with 10 percent ($5,000) to pay to a bail-bonding service, she will be released back onto the street.

*Since taking office on December 3, 2018, Wake County Sheriff Gerald M. Baker has refused to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and has released many dangerous criminals back into his county, despite ICE detainers being issued against them.
