PORTLAND, OR – On September 29, Moses Trujillo-Rodriguez, 23, was arrested after he reportedly stabbed Leo Khoury, the owner of Habibi Restaurant, on Southwest Morrison Street. He became angry when he was asked if he was ready for his bill, and stabbed Khoury multiple times, according to court documents.
After the attack, Trujillo-Rodriguez ran out of the restaurant, as several employees gave chase. They found Trujillo-Rodriguez sitting in the bushes about two blocks from the restaurant.
The illegal alien was taken into custody without incident.
Khoury sustained gashes in his lower back and left shoulder, and was transported to Oregon Health and Science University Hospital.
Trujillo-Rodriguez was charged with second-degree assault and unlawful use of weapon. He is currently being held at the Multnomah County Jail on $250,000 bond.
Of course, Portland is a 'sanctuary city,' and does not cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), so no ICE hold has been placed on the illegal immigrant.
*It should be noted that Leo Khoury legally immigrated to this country from Lebanon many years ago, in search of the 'American dream.' He is now back at home, recovering from his wounds.

When unsettling stories dominate headlines, it serves as a reminder of how fragile our sense of comfort and security can be. In a very different context—where wonder replaces concern—questions like “is the ice hotel real?” invite curiosity and exploration, reminding us that even amid real-world challenges, there are places of awe that spark our imagination and uplift our spirits.
