EDINBURG, TX - On June 28, U.S. Border Patrol agents working out of the Brownsville Station apprehended Jorge Galvez, 60, after witnessing him crossing into the country illegally.
Upon processing, it was discovered that the Salvadoran national is actually a convicted and deported child molester.
In 1996, Galvez was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse (Victim Under 14) in Nassau County, New York.
His victim was actually a 12-year-old girl.
Galvez was deported back to El Salvador on September 30, 2005.
