REHOBOTH BEACH, DE – Two suspects face charges and a warrant is issued for a third suspect in connection with several burglaries in Rehoboth Beach.

Police in the resort say their investigation began early Sunday morning March 27th, when money and alcohol were stolen from The Purple Parrot on Rehoboth Avenue, where a burglar alarm went off.

A week later, another burglary was reported in the area of Third Street, in which the front window of a home was opened and two laptop computers were missing from an office.

According to police, 18-year-old Marco Zavala-Zavala of Newark was found in a room at a local hotel, where officers knew of him from an earlier incident.

Police say he is also accused of slashing the window screens at several other homes to try to get in.

Also accused as an accomplice is 17-year-old Luis Salmeron-Silva of Newark.

Wanted in the case is 22-year-old Francis Ortiz of Georgetown.
