FAYETTEVILLE, NC (The Fayetteville Observer) – A Fayetteville man faces charges of indecent liberties with a child, as authorities suspect at least six possible victims.
Rene Diaz-Castellano, 51, of the 800 block of Berwick Drive, was charged Saturday with two felony counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Bail was set at $500,000.
The police reports with court records say the victims are younger than 16.
Court records for Diaz-Castellano say that one of the counts is believed to have occurred between March 22, 2017 and March 21, 2018; and the second count is believed to have occurred between June 1, 2016 and Oct. 1, 2018.
The police report says reports of abuse have allegedly occurred as far back as 2010.
″(The victim) is one of six juvenile females to report inappropriate behavior of sexual abuse at the hands of Diaz-Castellano,” the police report with the court records stated.
Cumberland County Detention Center records show Diaz-Castellano was arrested Dec. 20, 2018, for multiple indecent liberties with a child charges.
*The Fayetteville Observer failed to mention that in addition to several counts of indecent liberties with a child, Diaz-Castellano currently has 12 charges filed against him, including kidnapping and multiple counts of statutory sex offense of a child.
