MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Mooresville Police have arrested two men for allegedly kidnapping and conspiring to murder their roommate.
Gamaliel Aguliar Gonzalez, 25, and Remin Romero Tinajero, 32, have each been charged with second-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit homicide, and felony assault inflicting serious injury.
On November 15, detectives in Mooresville began their investigation after the male victim escaped from the suspects and contacted Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police. The victim was taken to CMC in Huntersville for injuries and was released after being treated.
Mooresville authorities determined the assault and kidnapping started at the victim and one of the suspect’s home located in the 700 block of South Academy Street and ended in Mecklenburg County when the victim escaped.
Both suspects were later arrested and placed in the Iredell County Jail. Tinajero was placed under a $100,000 bond. Gonzalez was placed under a $180,000 bond and was served with a warrant for unrelated charges from Scotland County.
