Illegal Aliens Busted In North Carolina Cocaine Ring

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (WXII News 12) – Six Winston-Salem residents were arrested for distributing cocaine and attempting to buy more of the drug from a source in Mexico.

Winston-Salem police said they worked with the Drug Enforcement Administration in a joint-operation targeting the group who were involved in the distribution of kilogram quantities of cocaine.

Information had been received indicating that this group was attempting to purchase multiple kilograms of cocaine from a source of supply in Mexico.

As a result of the investigation, the following people were arrested for conspiracy to traffic cocaine:

Maximino Sandoval-Penaloza, 36. Bail set at $1.5 million.
Ricardo Noyola-Medina, 29. Bail set at $1.5 million.
Oscar Milian-Banos, 21. Bail set at $1 million.
Luis Calleja-Perez, 20. Bail set at $1 million.
Jasen Checo, 22. Bail set at $1 million. Checo is also charged with fleeing to elude arrest and careless/reckless driving.
Doralee Moctezuma-Marcial, 20. Bail set at $1 million.

Police said pending gun and immigration violations are forthcoming.

During the investigation, police also seized three vehicles, including a 2005 Acura, 2005 Toyota Scion and a 2012 Mercedes, three pistols (including one that had been stolen), an AR 15 .223 assault rifle, a bullet proof vest and about $60,000 cash.

Investigators with Homeland Security and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the case.
