Illegal Alien Wanted For Multiple Child Molestations Captured With 10-Year-Old Boy

GAINESVILLE, GA (Fox 5 News) – A Guatemalan national accused in Hall County of a number of sex crimes is back in Georgia after being caught at the southern border of the United States.

Marcos Jose-Jose, 53, was booked into the Hall County Jail Sunday, three weeks after U.S. Border Patrol agents caught him illegally crossing back into the U.S. just west of the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry. Agents said he was attempting to blend into the group.

Jose-Jose was indicted by a Hall County grand jury in June 2016 on charges of child molestation and trafficking a person for sexual servitude. He had been on the run until border patrol agents caught him on March 24. After running his fingerprints and running a criminal background, federal agents handed him over to the El Paso Police Department to await extradition back to Gainesville.

Agents said he was with his 10-year-old son, a U.S. citizen, who was placed in protective custody by the Texas Child Protective Services.

An immigration hold has been placed on Jose-Jose, meaning he is not illegible for bail.

No word from the Hall County District Attorney’s Office on how they plan to proceed in the case.

It was not immediately known if Jose-Jose had a lawyer.
